AdSmart CEO Michael Boyer received his Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation at the 2014 International Franchise Association (IFA) Convention. The Institute of Certified Franchise Executives (ICFE) awards this honor to those executives who complete ICFE program based on experience in the franchising industry, participation in IFA events and education credits earned. CFE awardees must also pass a mandatory CFE final exam. This year’s IFA was held Feb. 21-24 in New Orleans, LA and the certifications were awarded during the convention.

The Institute of Certified Franchise Executives awards the CFE certification to executives who complete the ICFE program and then pass a mandatory final CFE exam.
ICFE program based on and executive’s experience in the franchising industry, participation in IFA events and education credits earned (online courses, video courses and/or courses attended in person). A CFE must complete a total of 3500 credits to complete the program in the three areas: Experience (500); Participation (500); and Education Core (2500) course work.
The mission of the Institute of Certified Franchise ExecutivesTM (ICFE) is to enhance the professionalism of franchising by certifying the highest standards of quality training and education. The CFE program is overseen by the ICFE Board of Governors. The IFA offered the first certification programs in 1991.
